ANNA ALÀS I JOVÉ
Born in Terrassa (Spain), was a member of the young artist programs at the Nürnberg Opera after graduate studies at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya. Afterwards she completed her Master studies in Art Song and Oratorio with Wolfram Rieger and Anneliese Fried at the HochschulefürMusik “HannsEisler” Berlin.
She was awarded with the 1st Prize at the Singing Competition J. Massià 2005, 2nd Prize International Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti 2010, 2nd Prize International Competition for the Art of Lied Stuttgart 2010, andwas Finalist at the Richard Strauss Singing Competition 2009; she received the Humboldt Foundation, Caja Madrid and La Caixa-DAAD scholarships.
She developed a wide opera repertoire such Rosina in Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia”, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Diana in Cavalli’s “La Calisto”, Rita in Donizetti’s “Rita”, L’Enfant in Ravel’s “L’Enfant et les sortilèges”, Ascanio in Berlioz “Benvenuto Cellini”, The Cat in Cui’s “Puss on boots”, Siebel in Gounod’s “Faust”, Tebaldo in Verdi’s “Don Carlo”, Flora in Verdi’s “La Traviata”, Armelinde in Viardot’s “Cendrillon”.
She took part in stagings by David McVicar, Robert Carsen, Laura Scozzi, HinrichHorstkotte, Andrea Raabe, La FuradelsBaus, Beverly Blankenship, in opera houses like Gran Teatre del Liceu, StaatsoperUnter den Linden Berlin, InnsbruckerFestwochen der AltenMusik, StaatstheaterNürnberg, Teatro Real (Madrid), Palacio de la Ópera (A Coruña), Teatre Principal (Palma de Mallorca), KarlsruherKonzerthaus, Landestheater Detmold, Brandenburger Theater, Markgrafentheater Erlangen, TeatreLliure (Barcelona) under the direction of Renato Palumbo, Maurizio Benini, Thomas Hengelbrock, Víctor Pablo Pérez, Andrea Marchiol.
